How To Maintain Your Dishwasher

The dishwasher has become an almost indispensable accessory in any home housewives. This is why it is important to know these few tricks for maintenance.

Fill the kitchen sink halfway with water and add 2 cups of vinegar for cleaning flaps of washing machine while you clean the sides and base. If you do not want to use vinegar, you can use lemon juice instead.

Clean the deposited dirt from rotary arms holes. Check if water can pass through these holes, otherwise the machine will not function properly. To remove dirt use sticks or toothpicks ears, depending on the size of the holes.

Take out carefully the shelves and racks of the dishwasher. If they are small, you can put the solution in the sink to clean them, if they are large and do not fit, wipe them with a cloth soaked in water and vinegar solution.

Wipe the door and seal the edges. These parts do not come into contact with water when the dishwasher cleans the dishes. Use a soft cloth.

Use the dishwasher regularly to prevent accumulation of food residue and dirt in it. Thus, you will not have to clean it very often. Occasionally, it is advisable to go through a short car wash cycle, low consumption of water, without pots inside.

Turn on the hot water in the sink before starting the dishwasher. It will clean the dishes better if the water is hot. From time to time, use vinegar water for a washing cycle without any dishes to clean it from inside.
