Sweating is a natural response from our bodies due to maintaining and controlling the temperature. However, that is not the worse part. The worse part comes when that sweat is getting into our clothes. Especially, when they still reek even after we wash them. Hence, if you notice that your clean clothes still have sweat odors, then you need to try out some natural remedies. These will definitely restore the clean and fresh smell we all want for our clothes. Keep reading and check out some simple and natural methods to get rid of sweat odors from clothes.

1. DIY solution with aspirin

I believe this is one of the best methods when it comes to getting rid of the sweat odors. The main area this will work is the underarms of your clothes. Start off by mixing three white aspirins with warm water in a small bowl. Then, add a teaspoon of cream of tartar. Mix everything very well until you get a paste. Moreover, using an old toothbrush, start applying this paste to the underarm area. Scrub it very well and let it sit there for at least 30 minutes. Lastly, simply wash your clothes as usual with your regular detergent.

2. DIY paste with baking soda

Baking soda will also work brilliantly in neutralizing the sweat odor in your clothing. Again, prepare this DIY paste by mixing 2 tbs of sodium bicarbonate with 1 tsp of warm water in a small bowl. After mixing until you get a paste, use another old toothbrush to scrub the sweaty area. Leave this paste to act for 15 minutes and then wash the clothes as you would normally do.

3. White vinegar soaking method

White vinegar soaking method is also great to get rid of sweat odors. This is especially better for larger areas of clothes such as pants or dresses. Basically, this method consists of soaking your clothes in a bucket of warm water and a small cup of white vinegar. You can let the clothes soaking for about 3 hours and then simply wash them in the machine. The sweat odors will be gone since white vinegar has great antibacterial and antiseptic properties. If the issue is more serious, you could also add one-third cup of vinegar to your washing machine.

4. Use the white vinegar for prevention too

Thus, using 1/2 cup of white vinegar at every wash will prevent sweat odor from embedding itself into clothing. Furthermore, the vinegar is also an amazing fabric softener.
